Service Cashier

We are seeking dependable and customer-focused FT and PT Automotive Service Cashiers to join our team. As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and handling financial transactions for our automotive service and parts customers. Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and manage transactions efficiently will contribute significantly to our customer’s satisfaction and the smooth operation of our service center.


Responsibilities
    • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and provide information about services offered and related questions or concerns.
    • Transaction Handling: Process payments accurately using cash, check and electronic payment systems. Ensure proper reconciliation of transactions at the end of each shift.
    • Invoicing and Documentation: Generate invoices for services rendered, accurately detailing charges and providing breakdowns of costs. Maintain meticulous records of transactions and customer information.
    • Assisting Service Advisors: Collaborate with service advisors to provide seamless customer service. Coordinate with the service team to ensure accurate billing for services performed.
    • Resolving Issues: Address customer concerns regarding billing discrepancies or payment issues promptly and professionally. Escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
    • Administrative Support: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized cashiering area. Help with administrative tasks as needed, including digital filing and data entry.
    • Compliance and Security: Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations. Safeguard cash and payment information to maintain security.
    • Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.

Requirements
    • Experience: Previous cashier or customer service experience, preferably in an automotive service or related industry.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities. Proficiency in handling customer inquiries and resolving issues.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Capability to manage transactions accurately and efficiently.
    • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable handling cash, using POS systems, and basic computer applications. Ability to learn new software quickly.
    • Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as repair orders and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, employees and the general public
